Privacy Principles for AI Advertising
AI-native advertising should not recreate third-party tracking under a new interface. Genesis starts from first-party publisher context, explicit ad calls, and strict handling of user identifiers.
The operating principles are:
- No third-party cookies.
- No raw personal data in offer requests or signals.
- Hash user identifiers before they reach Genesis.
- Keep personalization tied to first-party context and pseudonymous IDs.
- Require publishers to disclose sponsored placements.
- Provide deletion and opt-out request workflows.
- Reject raw PII in APIs and logs where possible.
Good privacy design also limits analytics. Publishers and advertisers need aggregate reporting, event reconciliation, and payout accuracy, but not unconstrained user-level tracking.
The Genesis platform is designed around that boundary.
